The kiss of succession: Watch moving moment Prince William kneels and pays homage to King Charles
The Prince of Wales kissed King Charles III after he “paid homage” to his father during his coronation on Saturday, 6 May.
Prince William kneeled before the King at Westminster Abbey before touching the crown and kissing his father’s right cheek.
In his pledge, called the Homage of Royal Blood, William told the King: “I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God.”
