Watch: Striking writers block 18-wheeler from entering Sony studios

Striking members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) stopped an 18-wheeler from entering Sony Pictures Studios in California on Thursday (4 May).

Footage posted on social media shows the truck reversing back into traffic as demonstrators blocked a gate to the studio, holding signs that read “Writers Guild on Strike”.

In the video, a voice can be heard shouting: “Turn it around” as the big rig backs away.

Writers are taking action to protest unfair wages, leading to a number of late-night talk shows going on hiatus.
