Black Sabbath co-founder: We had no idea last show with Ozzy Osbourne would be ‘this final’

Tony Iommi revealed that Black Sabbath didn’t expect their last-ever performance with Ozzy Osbourne would be “that final” as he paid tribute to the frontman following his death aged 76.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme (23 July), the band’s co-founder said Osbourne “felt at home” during the farewell performance, which took place in their hometown of Birmingham. Osbourne made his final public appearance on 5 July at Villa Park.
