Kate hugs and comforts little girl as she bursts into tears meeting royal

The Princess of Wales was spotted comforting a young girl who had burst into tears while meeting the royal in Windsor on Sunday (7 May).

Kate knelt down to speak to the child, who was left surprised when she and Prince William took a stroll along the Long Walk at Windsor Castle.

The royal can then be seen sharing an embrace with the young girl, before patting her on the back.

William and Kate made their unannounced appearance hours ahead of Sunday’s coronation concert.
