Premier League talking points ahead of new season including stoppage time changes and Saudi spectre

Excitement is building for the Premier League’s return, with action in England’s top flight beginning on 11 August.

Defending champions Manchester City are looking to follow up a historic campaign, and Pep Guardiola’s side are once again favourites to add another title to their honour roll after last season’s Treble.

This season though, rivals will be confident of at least closing the gap and challenging for silverware.
