What Manchester United’s new stadium could look like after Old Trafford exit
Manchester United have released images of what their proposed 100,000-capacity stadium to replace Old Trafford could look like.
United will stop playing at the stadium, their home since 1909, when they have constructed a state-of-the-art replacement next to it.
The new stadium's design features three masts, called "the trident", which the architects, Foster and Partners, say will be 200 metres high and visible from 25 miles away.
Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe estimated a new stadium would cost around £2bn when he discussed it last year.
