Touching tribute made to Liam Payne in late One Direction star’s final project
Netflix honoured Liam Payne in his final television appearance prior to his death in 2024.
The former One Direction star’s final project saw him feature as a guest judge on Building the Band, a reality music competition which premiered on Wednesday (9 July).
The first episode begins with a tribute to the late singer, with host AJ McLean stating: “We never imagined we’d soon be saying goodbye to our friend.”
“He had a deep love for music and commitment to helping others find their voice. We dedicate this series to him.”
Payne died aged 31 on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires.
