Martin Lewis shares how married couples can get extra £1,000 in bank now

Martin Lewis has shared important advice on how married couples can get extra £1,000 in their bank now.

The Money Saving Expert founder explained how marriage tax allowance allows you to transfer £1,260 of your personal allowance to your spouse or civil partner if they earn more than you.

Appearing on This Morning on Tuesday (26 March), the financial guru said: “You can claim back for four years before the current tax year which ends on 5 April, meaning £1,000 will be yours.”
