Daunte Wright family lawyer Ben Crump says fight for racial justice must continue until ‘hell freezes over’
Ben Crump, the American attorney who represents the families of George Floyd and Daunte Wright, said during a funeral for 20-year-old Wright that the fight for racial justice must continue until “hell freezes over”. Wright was killed by police officer Kim Potter on 11 April during a traffic stop, with the local force saying Potter mistook her gun for a Taser during the incident. She has since been charged with second-degree manslaughter. “We have to fight for our children until hell freezes over, and then, we have to be prepared to fight on the ice,” Crump said.
