Dramatic CCTV shows man running for cover as e-bike battery explodes into flames

Dramatic CCTV footage captures the moment an e-bike battery explodes into flames.

The video, shared by London Fire Brigade, also shows a man running for cover as the bike is engulfed by fire.

On their website, the LFB warn of the danger of e-bike and e-scooter batteries when charging, saying that they have been called to, on average, a fire caused by the equipment once every two days.

The incident most recently shared happened at a block of flats in Roehampton on the evening of Saturday 20 May.
