A Maine mass shooting survivor has described how he hid in a bowling lane to escape the gunman on Wednesday, 25 rampage gunman
Brandon, who did not provide a surname, said he had his back turned to the door when a man opened fire at a bar and a bowling alley in Lewiston, killing at least 16 people.
He added that he initially thought a “loud pop” was a balloon but after realising the man was holding a weapon, he ran down a bowling lane and slid into where the pins were.
Brandon says he lay on top of the machines inside the alley until police arrived.
