Dramatic moment wall crumbles as massive fire engulfs seven-storey building in Sydney

Dramatic footage captures a wall crashing to the street below as a seven-storey building is engulfed by a major fire.

The blaze broke out in Sydney’s central business district, with emergency services assigning it the highest level “10th alarm” response.

More than 100 firefighters were tackling the incident in Surry Hills on Thursday evening (25 May), with footage shared by Fire and Rescue NSW showing the scale of the blaze.

In one clip, the wall of the building crumbles and collapses into the cordoned-off street below.
