Taiwan military unveils battery-powered exoskeleton to help soldiers in field

Taiwan’s armed forces have invented a battery-powered exoskeleton which aims to increase soldiers’ efficiency and endurance in the field.

The suit attaches to the legs to support the knees, reducing the load placed on lower limb joints and allowing the user to move more freely.

A military official said that once fully charged, the 10 kilogram suit can last for upwards of six hours with its lithium battery module and allows soldiers to move at speeds of up to six kilometres per hour.
