Chelsea fans react as club withdraws from Super League

Chelsea supporters gathered at Stamford Bridge reacted with chants and cheers on Tuesday as news broke that the club planned to withdraw from the proposed European Super League. Around 1,000 fans filled Fulham Road less than 90 minutes before their match against Brighton, in protest against the breakaway competition which looked to rival the Uefa Champions League. The Blues were one of six English clubs initially behind the plans, with the other five being Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham.
