‘Am I a fool?’: Tory MP blasts Johnson after following Covid rules at grandmother’s funeral

Conservative MP Aaron Bell asked Boris Johnson if he thinks he’s a “fool” for following Covid rules at his grandmother’s funeral in 2020.

Mr Bell recalled driving for three hours to attend a service that only nine other people were allowed to be at and shared his upset at being unable to visit her house for “a cup of tea” afterward.

“Does the prime minister think I’m a fool?” the red wall MP asked.
