Guardiola hails ‘incredible’ Kevin De Bruyne as his stunning goal keeps Champions League tie in balance

Kevin De Bruyne struck a stunning equaliser at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night (9 May) as Manchester City came from behind to draw 1-1 after an equally brilliant opener from Real’s Vinicius Jnr.

The result leaves the tie delicately poised ahead of next week’s return leg at the Etihad Stadium and after a “really tight” game, Pep Guardiola praised his midfielder for an “incredible performance”.

“He knows how important he is for us and he made an incredible performance for many reasons,” the City boss said of De Bruyne at full-time.
