Wimbledon star Flavio Cobolli’s family breaks down in tears following monumental win
The father and brother of Wimbledon star Flavio Cobolli broke down in tears after the Italian player secured himself a place in the final eight of a Grand Slam.
The Italian 22nd seed beat veteran and 2017 Marin Cilic 6-4 6-4 6-7 7-6 on No2 Court on Monday (7 July).
Celebrating his win, which gained him his first ever Grand Slam spot, the 23-year-old maintained his composure as ran court side to hug friends and family.
However, his father and brother struggled to keep in their emotions, as they can be seen shedding a tear at the incredible win.
Stefano, Cobolli’s coach as well as parent, was also a professional player, reaching a career-high ranking of No. 236.
