Keanu Reeves avoids serious injury after spin-out on professional racing debut
Keanu Reeves made his professional auto racing debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, 5 October, an event which saw him spin out and avoid injury.
The Hollywood star, 60, is competing in the Toyota spec-racing series Toyota GR Cup and a support series for this weekend’s Indy 8 Hour sports car event with a second race on Sunday.
He span into the grass without a collision on the exit of Turn 9 just over halfway into the 45-minute race, carrying on driving and signalling he was not injured.
Reeves ran as high as 21st and eventually qualified 31st out of the 35 cars.
