UK group projects ‘Heil Tesla’ and Elon Musk’s hand gesture onto German factory

A campaign group has projected an image of Elon Musk onto Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory, accompanied by the phrase “Heil Tesla”.

The footage showed Musk making a gesture during a speech celebrating Donald Trump’s inauguration that some interpret as a Nazi salute.

During Monday’s rally speech, Musk thanked Trump supporters before performing the gesture: slapping his chest and extending his arm with palm down.

Led By Donkeys, the British group responsible, along with Germany’s Centre for Political Beauty, accuse Musk of using his wealth to “degrade democracy”.

Responding to claims the gesture was a Nazi salute, Mr Musk posted on the platform he owns, X – formerly Twitter, this week: “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks.
