Malala responds to Jimmy Kimmel’s awkward Oscars gag about Harry Styles spitting on Chris Pine

Education activist Malala Yousafzai appeared taken aback as Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel asked for her opinion on last year’s drama between Harry Styles and Chris Pine.

The Pakistani-born Nobel Peace Prize laureate was in attendance at the Academy Awards as an executive producer of Stranger at the Gate, a nominee for Best Documentary Short Film.

“As the youngest Nobel Prize winner in history, I was wondering, do you think Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine?” Kimmel asked.

“I only talk about peace,” Malala responded, in a moment that many viewers praised on social media.
