Wild black bear wanders into residential neighbourhood to play with bird feeder
A black bear was caught on camera playing with a bird feeder after wandering into a residential area of a town in Pennsylvania.
Footage posted on Facebook on Monday (16 October) by Nancy Run Fire Company shows the huge creature pawing at the feeder as it stands on its hind legs in Bethlehem Township.
Firefighters warned those who see the bear to “please be kind and stay away.”
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the state’s bear population has been increasing for decades, meaning bears and people are coming into contact more than ever - mostly when bears discover that there is easy-to-obtain food where people live.
