Bear destroys car interiors after getting trapped inside vehicle in South Lake Tahoe

The moment a bear destroyed the inside of a driver's car in South Lake Tahoe has been captured on camera.

Footage shows the huge animal pulling away the upholstery as Alejandra Hernandez looked on from a cabin porch.

Hernandez was staying in the area to attend a hen do in the northern California resort city.

She told CBS: "You always hear about bears breaking into your cars or your cabin, but you just don't think it's going to happen to you.

"I was just watching it completely annihilate my car."
