Ikea customers sleep on display beds after snowstorm traps them inside store

Ikea customers slept on display beds overnight when a snowstorm forced them to spend the night inside the megastore.

A northern Denmark showroom turned into a vast bedroom after six customers and about two dozen employees were stranded when up to 30 centimetres (12 inches) of snow fell in Aalborg on Wednesday.

Customers were seen hunkering down for the night on the display beds after an evening of playing games, “watching television and eating”.

People working in a toy shop next door to the store also spent the night in the department store.
