Israel’s war is on Palestinian people, not Hamas, says Palestine’s UK ambassador as death toll nears 3,000
“Israel’s war is on the Palestinian people and not Hamas”, Husam Zomlot, the UK’s Palestinian Ambassador has said.
Mr Zomlot’s comments come as he revealed a total of 2,850 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and the West Bank, with 12,000 more injured.
Mr Zomlot said: “What we are seeing right now is not a war on Hamas, but a war on the Palestinian people.
“The war and bombings of civilains, infrastructure, schools, medical centres, homes, markets and the prevention of the supply of water, food, fuel, electricity, and medicine from reaching Gaza has already taken a terrible toll.”
