England fans hit with glass bottles from crowds in central London

Rowdy fans throw bottles in London ahead of Euro 2020 final

There was mayhem in central London as tens of thousands of England fans poured in ahead of Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against Italy.

Footage shows rowdy supporters throwing bottles at fellow fans at a litter-strewn Leicester Square. Three fans were filmed climbing atop an awning on Charing Cross Road, only to be pelted with objects from the booing crowd below and climbing back down.

It came before chaos unfolded at Wembley stadium when hundreds of ticketless supporters breached security barriers and forced their way in, blocking stairs and leaving some paying fans without seats.
