Lionel Messi’s MMA fighter bodyguard follows him around pitch

Lionel Messi appears to be followed by a security guard even when he’s mid-game at Inter Miami.

The 36-year-old was filmed celebrating a late equaliser against Cincinnati while MMA fighter and bodyguard Yassine Chueko raced around the pitch after him.

Chueko was also seen accompanying the football legend on the pitch after the game had finished.

It is not confirmed why Messi has a bodyguard following him around the pitch, but it could be due to the risk of pitch invaders.
