Russell Crowe shares moving tribute to Rob Burrow as he makes call to rugby fans
Russell Crowe has called on rugby fans to “go to Wembley” and celebrate the life of Rob Burrow at the Challenge Cup final on Saturday 8 June.
The Australian actor, 60, described the late Burrow as a “little champion” and urged fans to pay tributes at the stadium.
This weekend’s Challenge Cup final sees Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors battle at Wembley, where there will also be a minute’s applause for Burrow.
Kick-off will be delayed until 3:07pm to reflect the number the player wore during his career with Leeds Rhinos.
Burrow died on 2 June, aged 41, after a battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
