Will Smith announces new podcast to discuss ‘pivotal time’

Will Smith has announced a new venture that promises to “take fans on a journey” to a “pivotal time” in music history.

The actor, 55, will host the Class of ‘88 podcast series, which is set to release on Thursday 26 October.

Smith revealed on Instagram that the project “took three years to make” and that it will explore the influences of hip-hop in the US throughout the decades.

The podcast will detail the milestone moments, albums and artists that inspired the music evolution.

Smith shared the news a week after posting an “official statement” responding to Jada Pinkett Smith’s recent marriage revelation.
