EU needs to show ‘a bit of respect’ to UK, Raab says as Brexit row deepens
The European Union has acted in an “offensive” way by repeatedly refusing to treat Northern Ireland as part of the UK, Dominic Raab has claimed. The Foreign Secretary made his remarks during the three day summit of the Group of Seven. Raab claimed the European Union was taking the view that Northern Ireland was not fully part of the United Kingdom. The spat comes as Britain and the EU negotiate how trade will take place between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
